Ingredients
- 150 grams flour
- 50 g cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon, leveled baking powder
- 125 g suar
- 1 packet vanilla sugar
- 1 pinch cardamom, ground
- 1 teaspoon, leveled cinnamon
- 1 egg (s)
- 125 g butter, cold
- 100 g almond (s), round
For the filling:
- 800 g apples
- 80 g suar
- 0.25 teaspoon ¼ cinnamon
- 50 ml apple juice
- 15 g custard powder, vanilla flavor
- 50 g apricot jam
- 80 g butter, soft
- 1 medium egg (s), separated
- 30 grams sugar

- Quickly knead the ingredients for the dough together, if it should stick, chill for an hour. Roll out almost half of the dough on the bottom of a greased springform pan, prick several times with a fork and prebake at 200 ° C for 15 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- Peel the apples and cut into small pieces, sauté them with sugar, cinnamon and apple juice, thicken with the starch.
- Beat the apricot jam with the butter and sugar, stir in the egg yolks and fold in the whipped egg whites.
- Roll out 2/3 of the remaining dough into a sheet the size of the springform base (works well between 2 floured plastic sheets) and cut into strips. Line the edge of the springform pan approx. 2 cm high with the remaining dough.
- Put the cooled apple filling on the dough and smooth out. Spread the apricot butter on the filling. Place a grid pattern on the topping with the strips of dough.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes at 175 ° C.
