Ingredients

  • 20 g yeast, fresh
  • 125 g butter, soft
  • 250 ml milk
  • 2 egg (s)
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ salt
  • 500g flour
  • some water, lukewarm

Instructions

  1. Dissolve the yeast in lukewarm water and let stand for about 10 minutes. Mix the butter with the milk, eggs and salt. Then mix the flour with the yeast mixture and the butter-milk-egg mixture and make a smooth dough. Put the whole thing in a lightly buttered round shape and let rise for about 50 minutes. If you like to pattern it, simply cut into the surface with a knife. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and bake the brioche for about 50 minutes. Tip: If you like it sweet, you can add sugar. I only have a pinch in it and it could be more for my taste.
