Ingredients

For the syrup:

  • 1 glass water
  • 2 glasses sugar
  • 1 squirt lemon juice

For the cream:

  • 1 liter milk
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 5 tablespoon cornstarch

For the ground:

  • Rusks or toasted bread

To sprinkle:

  • Pistachios
  • Possibly nuts your choice, ground
  • possibly rose water

Instructions

  1. First you take a medium-sized saucepan and pour in the water, as well as the sugar and a squeeze of lemon. Let it cook until it becomes a kind of syrup, about 7 minutes.
  2. In the meantime, take a dish of your choice and top it with rusks until the whole base is covered.
  3. Then you take the hot, syrupy sugar water and pour it over the rusks so that no part of it is missing.
  4. Then mix the whipped cream with the cornstarch and sugar for the cream. Next, take the milk and bring it to a boil, then take the mixed whipped cream and boil it with the milk until it has a pudding-like consistency. If you like, you can now add 2 bottle caps of rose water.
  5. If the mixture is pudding-like, you pour everything on the rusk base soaked in sugar syrup and then let the dessert cool for about 40 - 60 minutes.
  6. After cooling, sprinkle everything with chopped pistachios and it`s ready to serve.
