Ingredients

  • 100 g corn rits
  • 0.25 liter ¼ milk
  • 1 egg (s)
  • 3 teaspoons lemon peel, untreated, grated
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 500 g apples, sour
  • 2 tablespoon raisins
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • possibly powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Mix the corn grits with milk, egg, 2 tablespoons of sugar, a pinch of salt and lemon zest. Grease a baking dish with a little butter. Preheat oven to 175 degrees.
  2. Peel the apples and cut into thin wedges. Heat the rest of the butter in a pan and fry the apples briefly. Mix with the raisins, 1 tablespoon sugar, vanilla sugar and lemon juice.
  3. Pour half the amount of semolina into the mold, distribute the apples on top and cover with the remaining semolina. Bake in the oven for about 25 minutes.
  4. Cut the tommerl into large pieces with 2 forks and bake for another 5 minutes until golden brown. Dust with powdered sugar if necessary.
