Ingredients

  • 1 chicken or chicken leg
  • 0.5 ½ cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • 6 tablespoon cane sugar
  • 4 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 4 tablespoon butter, soft
  • 1 teaspoon chilli flakes
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons paprika powder
  • possibly garlic
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 0.5 ½ cup water

Instructions

  1. Slice the chicken. For the marinade, mix the butter with the mustard, then add the vinegar, ketchup and cane sugar and stir again vigorously. Mix in the lemon juice, salt and the Worcestershire sauce, then the spices such as chilli, paprika and chilli flakes.
  2. When you have mixed everything to a relatively homogeneous mass, you put it in the microwave for 1 - 2 minutes so that it can heat up. Now stir in the water.
  3. Now put the cut chicken on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil and season it vigorously with salt and pepper and, if necessary, with a little garlic. Then you coat the chicken evenly with the marinade (it also tastes very good if you put a bell pepper, tomato or other vegetable on the baking sheet, then you have a great side dish). Bake the chicken at 220 ° C for about 40 - 45 minutes.
