Ingredients

  • 2 large onions
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 3 pinches salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoon cheddar cheese, grated
  • 2 dashes soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons parmesan, grated

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 190 ° C top / bottom heat.
  2. Prepare 2 pieces of aluminum foil, approx. 20 x 20 cm.
  3. Peel the onion and cut 2/3 of the way as if you were cutting the onion into wedges, but do not cut through.
  4. Place one onion on each piece of foil, press on lightly and season with olive oil, salt and pepper. Sprinkle the parmesan and cheddar cheese on top and in the columns. Fold up the foil at the top.
  5. Place the onions in the oven on the middle rack and bake for about 20-30 minutes.
  6. Take the onions out of the oven, open the foil and serve drizzled with a little soy sauce.
  7. Note from the chef`s recipe processing: If you do not want to use aluminum foil, use parchment paper or baking paper for the packets. If you use salt, it is recommended for health reasons.
