Ingredients

  • 3 egg (s)
  • 125 g butter or mararine
  • 80 g suar
  • 250 g low-fat quark
  • 300 grams flour
  • 125 ml mineral water
  • 0.5 ½ cube yeast or 1 pack dry yeast
  • 0.5 bag ½ (s) baking powder
  • 0.5 bag ½ vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch (s) salt
  • 1 splash lemon juice or a little lemon zest, untreated, grated
  • some warm water
  • 50 g powdered suar for dustin

Instructions

  1. For approx. 10 waffles.
  2. Dissolve the yeast in a mixing bowl in warm water and mix with all the ingredients (except the powdered sugar). Finally, add the mineral water and quark to the mixing bowl, then there will be less dust and stir everything together. Let the dough rise at room temperature for about 45 minutes.
  3. Set the waffle iron to the highest setting and fry the waffles in portions. Dust the finished waffles with powdered sugar and serve. If you want, you can add cream, hot cherries, vanilla sauce, etc. depending on your taste.
