- 500 g suar
- 500 g mararine, room temperature
- 10 egg (s), whisked
- 2 packs vanilla sugar
- 1 shot rum
- g 1,000 flour
- 1 liter milk
- 1 packet baking powder

- For approx. 30 waffles.
- Here I reveal the waffle recipe we used to prepare the waffles in the cafe where I worked at the time. It`s the best waffle batter recipe I know.
- Mix the beaten eggs with the sugar and margarine until smooth until a foamy dough is formed. Add the vanilla sugar and a good dash of real rum. Add 1000 g flour and baking powder and stir, this will make the dough a little sticky. Finally, gradually stir in the milk and stir until the dough has a smooth and soft consistency.
- Bake the waffles in portions in a hot waffle iron and serve hot.
- Variation: Stir cinnamon into the dough in winter.
- Tips: The amount of dough may be a little too big for a normal household. We only take half of everything (except for the baking powder), so we can cater for a good 6 people when everyone is hungry. Any leftover dough can be frozen very well.
