Ingredients

  • 4 large onion (s)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.7 liters wine, Franconian wine
  • 1 pinch (s) sugar
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 carnation (s)
  • 5 grains pepper
  • 5 juniper berries
  • 1 carrot (s)
  • 20 sausages, Nuremberg sausages or 8 Franconian sausages
  • some mustard, spicy
  • 0.25 liter ¼ vegetable stock, instant

Instructions

  1. Peel and slice the onions. Peel the carrot and slice it into strips.
  2. Bring 1/2 liter of salted water to the boil in a saucepan, add instant vegetable stock, then add the onions, carrots, wine, sugar, bay leaves, cloves, peppercorns and juniper berries. Let the brew boil for 20 minutes. Season to taste with a little mustard. Then turn down the heat. Let the sausages steep in the stock for about 15 minutes, but do not boil. They are done when they set. Lift the sausages out of the stock, distribute on deep plates, pour some stock over them. Spread the onions and carrots on top.
  3. Black bread, beer or tart wine are enough.
  4. Usually the sour tips are cooked with vinegar. But that`s always too angry for us. Therefore we make our s.Z. in Franconian wine brew!
