Ingredients

  • 750 g peas, fresh, reen (frozen only in an emerency)
  • 250 g bacon, mixed
  • 3 onion (s)
  • 60 g lard
  • 1 bunch parsley, smooth, chopped
  • 2 tablespoon chervil, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Clean the peas. Finely dice the streaky bacon and onions and sauté in the heated lard until they are translucent.
  2. As soon as the onions begin to brown, add the peas and mix well. Add the finely chopped herbs and honey after approx. 5 minutes.
  3. Steam in a covered pot for approx. 20 minutes, turning frequently. Finally, season to taste and serve.
