Ingredients

  • 0.5 liter ½ cola
  • 8 tablespoon ketchup
  • 2 tablespoon mustard, sweeter, smoother
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 0.5 ½ lemon (s), juice from it
  • Chilli powder
  • Cayenne pepper
  • Curry powder, mild
  • Paprika powder
  • Smoked salt (hickory)
  • pepper

Instructions

  1. Reduce the cola to about 1/8 liter. This takes about a quarter of an hour, the consistency is then syrupy.
  2. In the meantime, mix the other ingredients in a separate container and add the spices to taste. Let the cola cool and stir in the ketchup-spice mixture.
  3. I think the recipe is great for several reasons:
  4. With maybe one or two exceptions, you have the ingredients in the house anyway. The preparation is quick and easy, and the result tastes great - at least for my family.

  6. If you don`t have smoked salt, you can use normal salt and a little garlic. Tastes different, but also very tasty.
