Borscht in Pots

Somehow we had a dispute: is it possible to cook borscht in pots? Now I know for sure – it is POSSIBLE! And it turns out very, very good!

Ingredients

  • Beef – 200 g
  • Pork – 200 g
  • Chicken – 200 g
  • Beets – 2 pcs.
  • Carrots – 1 pc.
  • Bulb onions – 1 pc.
  • Lard – 50 g
  • Garlic – 3-4 cloves
  • Tomato paste – 1.5 tbsp
  • Vinegar – 2 tbsp
  • Flour – 1 teaspoon
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Bay leaf
  • Meat with the bone for broth

Directions

  1. We set the broth to cook from a piece of beef with bone. And at this time we cut the beets into strips.
  2. And simmer it with the addition of vinegar and a small amount of water under the lid. When the beets are almost ready, add the tomato paste and simmer a little more.
  3. Cut the meat into strips. Cut the bacon into small pieces and grind together with the garlic.
  4. Chop the onion with carrots and fry until golden brown. Add flour at the end of frying.
  5. We fill the pots with prepared foods, add spices, fill them with broth. We put the borscht in a pot in the oven and bring it to readiness.
  6. Borscht in a pot is ready! Enjoy your meal!
