Wash the pumpkin, scrape out the seeds and cut the pumpkin into wedges. Squeeze an orange. Wash the chili peppers and cut into 2 halves. Peel and slice fresh ginger. Place the pumpkin wedges in a flat baking dish, season with salt, pepper and pour a tablespoon of sugar, orange juice and olive oil over them. Leave the garlic cloves in the shell, score them once with the knife and spread them over the pumpkin, as well as the chilli peppers and ginger. Put the broken cinnamon sticks on top, cover with aluminum foil and place in the oven preheated to 200 degrees for about 40 minutes.
