Ingredients

  • 3 onion (s)
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 5 egg (s)
  • 80 g butter
  • 200 ml milk
  • 100 ml olive oil
  • 400 g flour
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 500 g creamed spinach, or spinach leaves
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • salt and pepper
  • Chilli powder
  • 200 g cheese, rated, mozzarella and Emmentaler

Instructions

  1. Peel, halve and thinly slice the onions and peel the garlic. Fry the onions in a pan and add the spinach. Season with salt, pepper and chilli. Press and add the garlic. Simmer until the liquid is reduced. Then let it cool down.
  2. Beat the eggs with a good pinch of salt and a pinch of sugar until frothy. Bring the butter with the milk to the boil and add it to the egg mixture while hot. Stir in the olive oil and fold in the flour with the baking powder.
  3. Line a baking pan with a border of at least 5 cm with baking paper and preheat the oven to 150 ° C fan oven. Pour 2/3 of the batter into the baking pan. Add the sour cream to the spinach mixture and spread over the dough. Pour the remaining dough over it.
  4. Bake on the middle rack in the preheated oven for about 40 minutes. Remove the cake, spread the cheese on top and bake for another 10-15 minutes.
