Bread “Red”

Recipe for bread with provencal herbs and garlic.

Ingredients

  • Flour – 3 cups
  • Milk – 1 glass
  • Yeast – 2 teaspoon
  • Butter – 20 g
  • Sugar – 2 tbsp (I put 2 desserts)
  • Provencal herbs – 1 teaspoon
  • Tomato paste – 1 tbsp
  • Garlic to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Sesame seeds – to taste

Directions

  1. Knead the dough until elastic, divide it into two parts. Add tomato paste to one part and mix well so that the dough is evenly colored. Add garlic (through a press) and Provencal herbs to the other part of the dough.
  2. We spread the dough in different bowls and leave it to rise for an hour and a half.
  3. Next, roll out both doughs into rectangular layers. Put pink on a light layer, twist it loosely into a roll, seam down, cover with a towel and let it come up for about 40 minutes.
  4. Lubricate the “Red” bread with milk and sprinkle with sesame seeds. We send it to the oven, preheated to 200 degrees for 15 minutes. Then we lower the temperature to 180 degrees and cook the “Red” bread for another 20 minutes.
