Ingredients

  • 400 g flour, (whole wheat flour)
  • 250 ml water, lukewarm
  • 1 bag / s dry yeast
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pinch (s) salt
  • poppy seeds, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, nuts, etc.
  • some oil for the cooking plate
  • some flour to knead through

Instructions

  1. First of all: I have a Tefal VS 4001 VitaCuisine table steamer. The preparation may differ for other models.
  2. Put the flour in a bowl. Mix the dry yeast with the flour. Knead everything well. Work in the oil and salt.
  3. Cover the bowl with a clean cloth and place in a warm place (e.g. in the oven at max. 50 degrees). Let the dough rise for 30 minutes. Then knead the dough again with a handful of flour.
  4. Shape the dough into 8 to 10 rolls and roll them in seeds or nuts as desired.
  5. Brush the cooking plate with a little oil (otherwise the rolls will stick). Place the rolls a little apart on the cooking plate and steam for 35 minutes (depending on the size of the rolls, you may need to steam the rolls one after the other). After steaming, take it out of the steamer quickly so that it does not draw water.
  6. Caution: The rolls do not get a crust, they stay soft.
