Grissini Italian breadsticks can be served with hot cocoa or tea, broth or soup, or just as a snack. Delicate, fluffy crumb and crispy crust make grissini one of the most popular Italian baked goods.
Ingredients
Flour – 300 g
Pressed yeast – 20 g
Water – 1 glass
Sugar – 1 tablespoon
Salt – 0.5 teaspoon
Sesame seeds – 2-3 tablespoons
Vegetable oil – 50 ml
Directions
Pour warm water into a bowl, add sugar, salt, yeast and sifted flour.
Pour in vegetable oil.
Knead the yeast dough.
Thoroughly knead the dough with your hands, cover with a linen towel, wait 50-60 minutes. Then we knead again.
Roll out the dough into a rectangular layer.
Sprinkle 2/3 of the crust with sesame seeds, lightly press it down with a rolling pin.
Wrap up 1/3 of the dough without sesame seeds, sprinkle it with sesame seeds.
We wrap the free 1/3 of the dough so that the sesame is inside.
Cut into thin strips (1.5-2 cm).
We twist each strip with a tourniquet, slightly pulling it out. Put the grissini breadsticks on a baking sheet, pre-oiled.
We send the grissini to the oven preheated to 180 degrees, bake Italian breadsticks for 15-17 minutes.
