Ingredients

  • 1 broccoli
  • 1 small onion (s)
  • 5 slices cooked ham
  • 1 pack puff pastry from the cooling shelf (roll)
  • 2 small egg (s)
  • 0.5 ½ cup crème fraîche
  • 1 handful cheese (gratin cheese)
  • Seasoned Salt
  • pepper
  • 1 egg (s) for brushing

Instructions

  1. Cut the broccoli into small florets and cook for about 5 minutes until al dente. In the meantime, peel and dice the onion and cut the ham into small pieces. Mix with the cooked broccoli.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and roll out the puff pastry on it. Spread the broccoli, ham and onion mixture on top so that the strudel can be easily closed later and the dough does not tear from being overfilled.
  3. Mix the eggs, creme fraîche and the gratin cheese in a bowl and season with pepper and a generous amount of herb salt. Spread over the broccoli mixture (there may be a lot of liquid on the puff pastry, but as soon as it floods the whole tray, it is better to leave out some of the egg mixture!).
  4. Roll up the strudel, especially pressing it firmly at both ends. Brush with egg and bake on the middle rack of the oven for about 15 minutes at 200 ° C (fan oven) until golden brown.
