  • 500 g Brussels sprouts, fresh or frozen
  • 80 g cheese (Emmentaler), rated
  • 125 g cream
  • 30 g breadcrumbs
  • some butter
  • some pepper
  • some nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Wash and prepare Brussels sprouts, cut crosswise on the stalk and cook in very salty water or broth for 10-15 minutes until firm to soft.
  2. In the meantime, lightly grease a suitable gratin dish with butter and preheat the oven to 250 ° C. Mix the freshly grated Emmental cheese, cream and breadcrumbs well together in a bowl and season with pepper and nutmeg. Drain the Brussels sprouts, halve the large florets if necessary and place in the dish. Spread the cheese mixture over it, cover with flakes of butter and bake in the middle for approx. 10-15 minutes.
