Cabbage Puff Casserole with Minced Meat, Rice and Vegetables

Today I will tell and show you how to make an amazing lunch or dinner from a small fork of cabbage – cabbage puff casserole with minced meat, rice, and vegetables! Almost stuffed cabbage! Cooking is easy and simple, and even in the oven! Watch and repeat to your health!

Ingredients

  • Minced pork – 500-600 g
  • White cabbage – 500 g (12 leaves)
  • Rice – 100 g
  • Bulb onions – 2 pcs.
  • Tomatoes (fresh or frozen) – 1-2 pcs.
  • Carrots – 1 pcs.
  • Parsley greens – 1 bunch
  • Green onions – 1 bunch
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste
  • Vegetable oil (for lubrication) – 1-2 tbsp

Directions

  1. We send a small fork (head of cabbage) or even half of it to a saucepan with boiling salted water. Our task is to lightly boil the cabbage and disassemble it into leaves. You can do it in any way convenient for you: pre-freeze or cook in the microwave.
  2. Fill the rice with water, bring to a boil and turn it off immediately. Rice becomes half cooked. It does not need to be cooked for a long time.
  3. We will have two fillings, so we divide the minced meat in half into different cups. Add rice to the minced meat (in half). Put more of the diced onions in one cup and a smaller one in the other. In one add carrots grated on a coarse grater.
  4. We send chopped greens to the second cup. I have parsley and green onions today.
  5. It is also necessary to distribute the tomato over the two fillings. I have only tomatoes with sweet paprika, frozen from summer.
  6. Chop the tomatoes and place them in cups. Add salt and pepper, mix well. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.
  7. Cut off the thick veins of the cabbage leaves. We line the largest leaves on the bottom of the baking dish. Today I have a bread form. We spread part of the filling, starting with the carrot. We cover each layer of the filling with leaves (even in pieces).
  8. We spread a layer of minced meat with herbs. We alternate layers in this way until the minced meat and cabbage leaves are over.
  9. Wrap the edges of the cabbage leaves on top and grease them with vegetable oil.
  10. We bake for 40 minutes at a temperature of 200 degrees. Focus on your oven. Let the finished dish cool slightly, turn over and cut into pieces. Cabbage puff casserole with minced meat, rice, and vegetables keeps its shape perfectly, looks, and smells very appetizing! Delicious and satisfying, cook with pleasure!
