Cabbage Rolls Stuffed with Chicken and Vegetables, with Véchamel Cauce

Fill the cabbage rolls stuffed with chicken and vegetables with simple béchamel sauce, and we get a very tasty dish! At home, they often ask me to repeat what I do with pleasure! Cook for health!

Ingredients

  • White cabbage (young) – 8 leaves
  • Chicken breast – 1 pc.
  • Bulb onions – 1 pc.
  • Carrots – 1 pc.
  • Garlic – 2 cloves
  • Parsley – a couple of sprigs
  • Vegetable oil – for frying
  • Hard cheese – 100 g

For the sauce:

  • Flour – 1-2 tbsp
  • Butter – 2 teaspoon
  • Milk – 300 ml
  • Salt – 1-2 pinches
  • Ground black pepper – 1 pinch
  • Ground nutmeg – 1 pinch

Directions

  1. We prepare all the necessary ingredients. First of all, we send a few cabbage leaves in boiling water for a couple of minutes – it will be enough for them to soften. Cut the chicken into small cubes. Peel the garlic and pass it through a press. Peel the onion and cut it into cubes. Peel the carrots and rub them on a coarse grater. Grind the greens.
  2. Fry the garlic lightly in a little vegetable oil. Add onion and fry until lightly golden. Add carrots and lightly fry too.
  3. Add pieces of the chicken fillet to this, fry until tender, 5-7 minutes. Add salt and ground pepper. We mix. Cooldown the filling.
  4. At this time, prepare the bechamel sauce for pouring. Heat the flour in a saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly, until the color changes to light wheat.
  5. Then add the butter and continue to fry. We do all this while constantly stirring the mixture. Pour milk in portions, stirring the mixture.
  6. We wait for the first bubbles and add salt, ground pepper, and nutmeg. Stir – and the sauce is ready.
  7. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. I have a ceramic mold, so I’ll put it in a cold oven and hold it a little longer. We take two leaves of cabbage, fold them overlapping, spread the filling along the edge, on top – a little parsley. We turn into a roll.
  8. We send the resulting cabbage rolls with chicken to a baking dish. Fill the cabbage rolls with the béchamel sauce. Spread the sauce over the entire surface of the rolls. Rub the cheese on a coarse grater and sprinkle cabbage rolls with béchamel sauce.
  9. We bake in a preheated oven at a temperature of 180-200 degrees for 20 minutes. Cut the finished cabbage rolls into portions.
  10. Serving to the table. It always turns out very tasty! Cheese crust, tender cabbage, and lots of delicious filling!
