Cabbage Waffles

Cabbage waffles cooked in an electric waffle iron is a tasty dish, quick to prepare, and quite original. We can say that these are cabbage cutlets but in an unusual design. Cabbage waffles are good as a snack with sour cream or other sauce.

Ingredients

  • White cabbage – 250 g
  • Egg – 1 pc.
  • Flour – 1 tbsp
  • Sunflower oil – 1 tbsp + for greasing the waffle iron
  • Green onion – several feathers
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste

Directions

  1. Chop the white cabbage thinly.
  2. Transfer the shredded cabbage to a bowl and gently brush with your hand to soften.
  3. Add the egg, flour, salt, and black pepper to the cabbage. Stir.
  4. Then add the green onion chopped into thin rings.
  5. Also pour in some sunflower oil and mix the cabbage mass again.
  6. Heat the waffle iron for thick waffles, oil the plates if necessary. Place the cabbage dough on plates, 1-1.5 tablespoon each. spoons for each waffle.
  7. Cook the cabbage waffles in the electric waffle iron for as long as your waffle iron needs. I baked each batch for about 3-4 minutes.
  8. In total, about 8 cabbage waffles are made.
  9. Serve hot or warm cabbage waffles with sour cream or other sauce.
