Ingredients

  • 1 carp, ready to cook
  • 1 lemon (s), 2 slices it
  • 250 ml vinegar
  • 250 ml white wine, drier
  • 0.5 ½ onion (s), sliced
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 10 juniper berries
  • 2 carnation (s)

Instructions

  1. Put about 2 liters of water in a sufficiently large saucepan. Add the lemon slices, onion slices, bay leaves, juniper berries and cloves. Then pour in the vinegar and white wine. Cook the whole thing for about a quarter of an hour.
  2. Now add the fish and let it steep for 30 minutes (do not boil).
  3. I recommend boiled potatoes, melted butter and fresh lemon wedges as a side dish.
