  • 500 g heart (s) (chicken)
  • salt and pepper
  • thyme
  • some oil
  • 1 glass water
  • 0.5 ½ glasses red wine

Instructions

  1. My grandma`s recipe is very popular with us.
  2. First separate the hearts from the veins, clean them and, if necessary, cut them in half. Season the dried hearts with salt, pepper and thyme and fry in a little oil. Gradually add a little water and let it stew, stirring more often. As soon as the water has boiled down a little, cover the hearts with red wine and let simmer for another 20 minutes.
  3. If the sauce is still a little runny, you can thicken it with cornstarch.
  4. The hearts now have a strong red wine taste and are often eaten with rice.
