Ingredients

  • 750 g Chinese cabbae
  • 400 g potato (s)
  • 2 pairs sausages (Debrecziner)
  • 2 medium onion (s)
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 300 ml vegetable stock
  • 2 medium tomato (s)
  • 50 g natural processed cheese
  • 2 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon caraway seeds
  • 0.5 ½ cup sour cream
  • 3 tablespoon olive oil
  • salt
  • pepper

Instructions

  1. Cut the Chinese cabbage in half lengthways, cut both halves into thin strips, wash and drain. Peel the onion and cut into small cubes. Dice the tomatoes as well. Clean the potatoes and wash them well, as you want the skin to stay on. Then cut into cubes. Cut the Debrecziner into small wheels.
  2. First sauté the onions in a saucepan with olive oil. Then add the chopped Chinese cabbage and tomatoes and let simmer a little more. Now pour in the vegetable stock, press the garlic cloves into the pot and add the tomato paste and caraway seeds. Cover everything and let it simmer over a low flame.
  3. After about 15 minutes of cooking, add the potatoes and the Debrecziner to the pan and cover and simmer for another 15 minutes. Just before the end of the cooking time, add the processed cheese and stir well.
  4. Then remove the saucepan from the hob, stir the sour cream into the stew, season with salt and pepper and serve hot.
