Ingredients

  • 500 g pork, shredded, alternatively turkey meat
  • 1 onion (s)
  • 2 cups cream
  • 5 tablespoon spice mixture, possibly more
  • 5 tablespoon oil
  • 500 g spaetzle
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Mix the meat with the gyros spice, finely diced onion and the oil and marinate for about 2 hours (overnight is even better).
  2. Cook the spaetzle according to the instructions on the packet.
  3. Let a pan get hot, add the meat without adding any oil and fry until crispy brown on all sides over a medium heat. Add 1 cup of cream and let it reduce. Then add the second cup of cream and simmer until the sauce is a bit thick.
  4. Season to taste and serve with the spaetzle.
  5. Green salad goes well with it.
