Creamy Dessert with Rhubarb and Custard

Delicate creamy dessert made with rhubarb puree, custard, and whipped cream.
Servings: 4
Ingredients
- Rhubarb – 450 g
- Whipped cream – to taste
- Ready-made custard – to taste
- Melted honey – optional
- Light brown sugar – 75 g (1/2 cup)
How to make a creamy dessert:
Directions
- Cut the rhubarb into small pieces, rinse. Put wet rhubarb in a saucepan, cover with sugar and cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, for about 10 minutes. Remove the saucepan from the stove, let the contents cool.
- Put the cooled rhubarb in a metal sieve and rub the puree into a bowl.
- For a creamy dessert in equal parts, you need cream, rhubarb puree, and custard (the proportions may be different, depending on your taste). First, whisk the custard and puree with a whisk, then gently add the whipped cream. Cover dessert and refrigerate. Serve the creamy dessert in portioned bowls, dripping with melted honey (optional).
