Curd Sweets with Figs, Nuts, and Honey

Homemade cottage cheese sweets with dried figs, honey, and caramelized nuts are an easy-to-prepare and incredibly tasty treat. Such sweets from cottage cheese will appeal to both children and adults. Try it!

Ingredients

  • Cottage cheese 5% – 250 g
  • Shortbread cookies – 120 g
  • Figs – 50 g
  • Walnuts – 50 g
  • Sugar – 10 g
  • Honey – 30-50 g (to taste)
  • Butter – 25 g
  • Cocoa powder – 20 g

Directions

  1. Prepare all the ingredients you need.
    Remove the butter from the refrigerator in advance to warm it to room temperature.
  2. Place the cookies in a blender bowl and grind until finely crumbled about 1 to 2 minutes.
    Finely chop the figs.
    Coarsely chop the walnuts with a knife.
  3. Roast the nuts over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for about 3 minutes, until a light nutty flavor appears.
  4. Add sugar. Cook the nuts for another 2-3 minutes to melt the sugar and lightly caramelize.
    Turn off the heat and transfer the caramelized nuts to a plate to cool slightly.
  5. Combine curd with butter and honey.
  6. Add toasted nuts to caramel, crushed cookies, and figs. Mix well.
  7. Divide the curd mass into portions and use your hands soaked in water to form balls of the desired size. I got 9 large cottage cheese sweets weighing about 50-60 g each.
  8. Sift cocoa powder in small portions onto a plate. Roll each curd in cocoa one by one on all sides.
  9. Place the figs, nuts, and honey cottage cheese candies in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to cool.
