Instructions

  1. Cut the ham into strips approx. 1 cm wide. Then cut it up again so that the pieces are roughly square. The onion, I prefer a red onion, peel and cut into small cubes. Wash the spring onions and cut into small rings. If you buy a bunch, the green part of the onions is enough.
  2. Put everything together in a bowl and add the sugar. If necessary, add a pinch of salt and pepper to the bowl. Then everything is mixed with the mayonnaise. At the end, taste again and possibly add a little more sugar.
  3. It tastes best when you prepare the salad in the evening and leave it to stand overnight.

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
