Delicate Apple Pie with a Crispy Crust

Ingredients
Pie
- Cognac (optional) – 1 tbsp
- Baking powder (15 g) – 1 pack
- Milk – 90 ml
Vegetable oil – 2 tbsp - Sugar – 70 g
- Wheat flour / Flour – 60 g
- Apple (large) – 3-4 pcs
- Chicken egg – 2 pieces
Crust
- Almonds (leaves) – 2-3 tbsp
- Butter (melted) – 3 tbsp
- Sugar (80 g per crust and 1 tablespoon for topping) – 80 g
- Chicken egg – 1 pc
Directions
- Mix flour, sugar, baking powder.
- Beat 2 eggs lightly with a fork and pour into the flour and sugar mixture.
- Now pour in the milk. Stir.
- Then pour vegetable oil and brandy into the dough, if desired. Beat well until bubbles.
- Let’s start peeling apples. Peel them off and remove the seeds. Cut into thin slices, this is a must, otherwise, the dough texture we need will not work.
- Put the apples in the dough. Look what kind of dough should be, it is almost invisible, it is absorbed by the apples. It should be so.
- Grease the mold with oil, pour the dough into it. And bake in a preheated oven for 25-30 minutes. at a temperature of 200 degrees.
- The cake is ready when it is firm enough to the touch.
- At this time, we are preparing the future crust: beat the egg with sugar into a white foam. Add melted butter and beat again.
- And pour this mixture over another hot pie.
- Sprinkle with slices of almonds and 1 tbsp sugar.
- And put it on for another 10-15 minutes. in the oven at a temperature of 200 degrees. until golden brown.
