Ingredients

  • 200 g marzipan paste
  • 5 egg (s)
  • 150 grams sugar
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 200 g flour
  • 1 teaspoon, heaped baking powder
  • 100 g butter
  • 30 g hazelnuts, round
  • 1 dash bitter almond flavor
  • 50 g chocolate (nouat chocolate), chopped

For the glaze:

  • 1 packet couverture

Instructions

  1. Separate the eggs. Mix the egg yolks vigorously with 100 g of finely diced marzipan. Stir in the sugar with the vanilla sugar. Then beat the egg whites until stiff and fold into the rest of the mixture.
  2. Melt the butter. Add all other ingredients (except for the rest of the marzipan) and stir on the lowest setting, finally pour in the melted butter. Stir again.
  3. Pour the mixture into a greased springform pan and bake for approx. 45 minutes at 180 ° C. Let the finished cake cool down.
  4. Roll out the remaining 100 g of marzipan and cover the cake with it. Then spread the couverture on the cake.
