Ingredients

  • 2 cup rice
  • 4 cup water
  • 200 g tomato (s) (pellati), peeled, sliced
  • 2 bell peppers (green, yellow)
  • 2 large onions
  • salt
  • pepper
  • Chili powder
  • Paprika powder, hot as rose
  • Paprika powder, noble sweet
  • some oil

Instructions

  1. Chop the onions and fry them in oil. Add 4 cups of water and bring to the boil. Then stir in the rice, pellati and chopped peppers and let simmer on a low flame. Season according to your preference - I like the dish best with fiery flavors.
  2. I like to eat djuvec as a main course, but it can also be used as a side dish!
  3. The amount given for 4 people is calculated as the main course! As a side dish, just cut the amount in half.
