Dutch Puff Pastry Pretzels

Dutch pretzels are puff pastry rolls with cinnamon sugar topping. Delicious and fast, especially if you use ready-made puff pastry!

Ingredients

  • Puff pastry – 400 g
  • Egg (only yolk) – 1 pc.
  • Sugar – 100 g
  • Ground cinnamon – 1 teaspoon

Directions

  1. To make puff pastry pretzels, we prepare the necessary ingredients. We take out the puff pastry from the freezer, let it stand at room temperature for 5-7 minutes.
  2. Cut the dough into rectangles, which, in turn, cut into thin strips along the wide side. To do this, it is convenient to use a pizza roller or cutter for pasties with a wavy edge.
  3. Take one strip of dough and roll it out to make it thinner and longer. Then we form a product in the form of a pretzel from the resulting strip of dough, as shown in the photo: we cross the ends of the strip and attach it to the base of the mold.
  4. Thus, we form the remaining pretzels and put them on a baking sheet covered with baking parchment. In total, you get 20-24 pretzels.
  5. Grease the pretzels with egg yolk.
  6. Mix the sugar with ground cinnamon and sprinkle the pretzels with the resulting cinnamon sugar.
  7. We bake Dutch pretzels in an oven preheated to 200 degrees for 15-20 minutes, until a beautiful golden color.
  8. Dutch pretzels are ready, serve aromatic and delicious puff pastry with any drink as a dessert.
