Easter Cake Stuffed with Chicken and Vegetables

Let’s move away from the generally accepted standards in making Easter bread and bake a cake with a filling. I made this unusual cake by filling it with fried chicken fillet with vegetables.

Ingredients

For the dough:

  • Flour – 1 kg
  • Eggs – 2 pcs.
  • Milk – 200 g
  • Sour cream – 4 tablespoons
  • Margarine “Generous Summer” – 200 g
  • Dry yeast – 7 g
  • Salt – ½ teaspoon
  • Sugar – 1 tablespoon

For filling:

  • Chicken fillet – 300 g
  • Bulgarian pepper – 1 pc.
  • Bulb onions – 1 pc.
  • Greens (parsley, dill, green onions) – 10 g
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

For glaze:

  • Sour cream 20% – 100 g
  • Greens – 5 g
  • Salt to taste
  • Bulgarian red pepper (for decoration) – 1/3 pcs

Directions

  1. Sift all the flour.
  2. To prepare the dough, you need to take 100 g of warm (37-38 degrees) milk, 100 g of sifted flour, 1 tablespoon of sugar and yeast, mix everything.
  3. Put in the heat for half an hour, the dough will double during this time.
  4. At this time, mix eggs, sour cream, remaining milk.
    Melt margarine, cool and pour into the mixture.
  5. Introduce a mixture of mixed products into the increased dough.
    Sift the remaining flour and stir into the dough.
  6. Grease your hands with vegetable oil and knead the dough so that it does not stick to your hands and dishes.
  7. Move to a warm place for lifting.
  8. The dough will rise, soften it. And so twice.
  9. Now you can start filling.
    Cut the fillet into slices, beat off a little, season with salt and pepper.
  10. Fry a little in a pan.
  11. Cut the onion into cubes, you can use half rings.
  12. Finely chop the Bulgarian pepper.
  13. Mix chicken, onion, Bulgarian pepper, add finely chopped greens, salt to taste.
  14. Now you can do the cake molds. Cut parchment circles for the bottom of the molds, and rectangles for the walls.
  15. Place the dough that has come up the third cut into the cake molds, as thin as possible.
  16. Put the prepared filling inside the dough.
  17. Cover the filling with a dough lid.
  18. Bake the filled Easter cake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for 30 minutes.
    While the cakes are baking, you can prepare the icing: beat 100 ml of sour cream with a mixer, salt and add finely chopped greens.
    Remove the finished cakes from the molds, let them cool for a while.
  19. Brush with sour cream with herbs, sprinkle with red bell pepper on top. Easter cake with filling is ready.

  20. Inside, the filling is quite juicy, with a delicate and at the same time spicy taste.
