Fried Chicken Legs

This is the easiest way to cook chicken legs. A minimum of fuss and ingredients, but the dish still turns out to be very tasty. It is best to cook just whole chicken legs (drumsticks + thighs) using this recipe, but you can also fry chicken drumsticks and chicken thighs in the same way. Only then will the cooking time be shorter (the smaller the pieces, the faster they cook). The main thing is the right choice of spices and the right heat treatment. Ingredients

  • Chicken legs – 5 Pieces (with thigh)
  • Ground coriander – 2 Tbsp 
  • Cumin – 1 Tbsp
  • Ground black pepper – 1 Tbsp 
  • Salt – to taste
  • Olive oil – 100 Milliliters

Directions

  1. Prepare your ingredients. Rinse the chicken legs under running water, blot with a paper towel.
  2. Rub each leg generously with salt on all sides, and then sprinkle with spices. In the same way, rub all the other legs with salt and spices.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Place the chicken legs in the heated oil.
  4. Roast for 2 minutes over medium heat, then turn the legs over and fry on the other side. In total, the chicken legs should be roasted for 12 minutes, turning every 2 minutes.
  5. Fry over medium heat under a lid. If it starts to burn, reduce the heat.
  6. Now add 1 cup of water to the pan, reduce heat and cook until the water evaporates completely, covered.
  7. During this time, the chicken will become soft and will come to readiness.
