  • 400 g red cabbae
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • Oil or clarified butter
  • salt and pepper
  • Vinegar, mild or balsamic vinegar
  • 1 pinch (s) clove powder, as desired

Instructions

  1. Cut or slice the red cabbage into thin strips 2 - 3 mm. Heat the oil or clarified butter in a large pan, add the sugar and caramelize while stirring.
  2. Add the red cabbage strips and cook over a medium heat for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally, depending on how firm you want it to be. Then deglaze with a little vinegar or balsamic vinegar and season with salt and pepper. If you like, you can add a pinch of clove powder.
  3. We have meatballs and potato and celery puree with it.
