Fried Sausage and Chips Sandwich

A hot sandwich-sandwich with grilled sausage, cheese and potato chips is an incredibly appetizing, quick to prepare, nutritious and satisfying snack that will delight any gourmet with its taste and will give strength and energy for a long time. Crispy bread, juicy filling, appetizing strands of melted cheese are a win-win combination, whatever one may say. Try it!

Ingredients

  • White toast bread – 2 pieces (30 g)
  • Cooked sausage – 6 slices (170 g)
  • Potato chips – 15-18 g (10-12 pcs.)
  • Toast cheese – 3 slices (60 g)
  • Butter – 15 g (for frying)
  • Mayonnaise – 1 tbsp
  • Mustard (mild) – 1 tbsp

For filing (optional):

  • Lettuce – 2 leaves
  • Fresh parsley – 1 sprig

Directions

  1. For the grilled sausage and chips sandwich, prepare the food listed.
  2. Peel the boiled sausage and cut into thin slices. To prevent the sausage pieces from curling during frying, cut a small segment from each sausage circle.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Place the sausage slices in a single layer in a skillet and fry for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
  4. If the whole sausage does not fit in the pan, first fry half of the sausage (3 slices), then transfer the sausage to a plate and fry the remaining sausage slices.
  5. Brush a slice of white toast bread with a thin layer of mayonnaise.
  6. On top of the mayonnaise, place the slices of toast cheese so that the cheese covers the entire surface of the bread slice.
  7. Place the hot grilled sausage on top of the cheese, stacking the slices on top of each other so that all the bread is covered with the sausage.
  8. Place a layer of potato chips on top of the sausage.
  9. Brush the second slice of toast bread with a thin layer of mustard.
  10. Cover the sausage, cheese and chips sandwich with the second piece of bread, mustard down.
  11. Put the resulting sandwich in the pan in which the sausage was fried, and fry for 2-3 minutes on each side, so that the bread is browned, the filling warms up, and the cheese melts.
  12. Put the finished hot sandwich with sausage, cheese and chips on a paper napkin or towel for a few seconds to absorb the excess oil.
  13. Cut the hot grilled sausage and chips sandwich in half and serve. Optionally, add lettuce to the sandwich and garnish with parsley leaves.
