Instructions

  1. Clean the squid: remove the head, pull out the insides using the scale inside, rinse under cold running water while rubbing off the skin. Rinse the inside again until only white flesh remains. Separate the tentacles from the head using a sharp knife and remove the hard mouthpiece, cleaning thoroughly.
  2. Cut the 400 g feta cheese into 2 cm thick slices.
  3. Mix 100 ml olive oil, juice from 1 medium lemon, 3 tablespoons oregano, 1 tablespoon thyme, 4 cloves chopped garlic, salt, and pepper to make a marinade.
  4. Place the squid, tentacles, and feta cheese in a bowl, pour the marinade over them, cover, and refrigerate for 1 to 4 hours.
  5. Remove squid from the bowl and stuff each squid tube with a slice of feta cheese and some of the marinade, then seal with a toothpick.
  6. Thread the tentacles onto oiled wooden skewers.
  7. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Grill the squid for 5 minutes on each side. Grill the tentacles for 2 minutes total.
  8. If using an oven grill function instead of an outdoor grill, follow the manufacturer's instructions for your specific oven model.

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
