Ingredients

  • 1 roll (s) puff pastry from the refrigerated shelf
  • 3 slices cooked ham
  • 150 g cream cheese
  • 1 onion (s), red
  • 100 g mountain cheese, rated
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 sprigs oregano, fresh
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder, hot as rose
  • 2 egg yolks, for brushing

Instructions

  1. For the filling, finely dice the red onion and the boiled ham. Finely chop the oregano and garlic. Grate the mountain cheese. Mix everything together with the cream cheese and spices.
  2. Roll out the dough and cut about 10 x 10 cm (or smaller) squares out of it. Lay out 1 square, brush the edges with egg yolk. Use a teaspoon or a small fork to place some of the filling in the middle of the dough, cover with another square of dough. Brush the edges again with a little egg yolk and press together with a fork. Finally sprinkle some cheese over the dumplings. Bake at 180 ° C for 25 - 30 minutes.
  3. The filling is variable, with tuna and / or sun-dried tomatoes it also tastes really delicious. I`ve also tried it with smoked salmon, which is great. The baking time remains the same here.
