Heh (Hwe) from Carp

Ingredients

  • Carp – 2 kg
  • Acetic essence (at least 70%) – 1 tbsp
  • Vegetable oil – 100 g
  • Onions – 1 pc.
  • Cilantro seeds – 1-2 teaspoon
  • Garlic – 1 head
  • Hot red pepper – 2 pcs.
  • Soy sauce – 3 tbsp
  • Salt – 1-2 teaspoon.

Directions

  1. We prepare products for carp heh.
  2. We clean carp weighing two kilograms from scales and entrails, wash. Separate the fillet from the bones and skin.
  3. Finely chop the carp fillet into strips. Put in a bowl, add one tablespoon of vinegar essence (at least 70%).
  4. Stir and close under a press for 30 minutes.
  5. Let’s prepare the dressing for now. Heat 100 grams of vegetable oil in a frying pan, cut one large onion into cubes.
  6. Fry it until transparent, add 1-2 teaspoons of salt. We remove from the fire.
  7. Grind one medium-sized head of garlic.
  8. Finely chop two hot peppers.
  9. Add 1-2 teaspoons of cilantro seeds to hot oil, mix. Add garlic and pepper to the sauce, mix. Add three tablespoons of soy sauce and mix again. He’s dressing is ready.
  10. After 30 minutes, open the fishbowl. The fish turned white, that is, it was “cooked”.
  11. Add the prepared sauce to the fish, mix and close under a press for another 30 minutes.
  12. After 30 minutes, mix and send the heh from the fish to the refrigerator. Heh can already be eaten, but tomorrow it will be much tastier.
