Ingredients
- 24 large shrimp (s), peeled
- 1 teaspoon paprika powder, sweeter
- 0.5 teaspoon ½ chilli pepper (s), dried, mashed
- 2 ½ teaspoon spice mix (Cajun spice, see below)
- 1 onion (s)
- 0.5 ½ bell pepper (s), red
- 4 clove (s) garlic
- 60 g butter
- 125 ml cream
- 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped
- Spice mix; (Cajun spice)
- 1 tablespoon garlic granules
- 1 tablespoon onion (s), dried
- 2 teaspoons white pepper
- 2 teaspoons black pepper, coarsely ground
- 1 ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 2 teaspoons thyme, dried
- 0.5 teaspoon ½ oregano, dried

- Cajun spice is a piquant mixture of spices and keeps very well in a sealed jar.
- Mix the paprika powder, chilli and Cajun spice, sprinkle the prawns with it and let stand for 20 minutes.
- Peel the onions and garlic, cut the onions into thin rings, cut the paprika into fine strips, finely dice the garlic. Simmer in the butter in a large pan for about 6 minutes.
- Add the prawns and fry them over high heat until they turn color.
- Stir in the cream and simmer until the prawns are cooked through. Sprinkle with parsley.
