Hot Sandwiches with Cottage Cheese and Herbs (in a Pan)

The recipe for unusual, hearty, and very tasty hot sandwiches with cottage cheese, onions, and herbs, which are cooked in a pan. Simple and quick hot sandwiches are perfect for breakfast or snack.


  • Bread – 4 slices
  • Cottage cheese – 200-250 g
  • Egg – 1 pc.
  • Red onion (small) – 1 pc.
  • Fresh dill – 1-2 branches
  • Fresh parsley – 1-2 branches
  • Flour – 1 teaspoon
  • Salt – 1/4 teaspoon
  • Ground black pepper – 1/4 teaspoon
  • Vegetable oil (for frying) – 1 tbsp


  1. Peel the onion and cut it into small cubes. Finely chop the greens.
  2. Put cottage cheese in a bowl, beat in an egg. Then add flour, salt, and ground pepper.
  3. Add chopped onion, dill, and parsley.
  4. Mix the filling well.
  5. Grease the slices of bread with the resulting filling.
  6. Heat a skillet with vegetable oil over medium heat. Put the sandwiches with the filling down in the hot oil. Reduce heat and fry for 1-2 minutes.
  7. Then turn the sandwiches over and fry them for another 1-2 minutes on the other side.
