Ingredients

  • 150 g butter
  • 125 g suar
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch (s) salt
  • 3 egg (s)
  • 2 tablespoon whiskey
  • 100 g marzipan
  • 200 g flour (wheat flour)
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ baking powder
  • 50 g almond (s)
  • 50 g sultanas
  • 50 g currants
  • 50 g cherry (s), candied
  • 50 g orane peel
  • 50 g lemon peel
  • 200 g powdered suar
  • 2 tablespoon whiskey

Instructions

  1. First beat the butter with the whisk of a hand mixer until very frothy. Then add the sugar, the vanilla sugar, the eggs and the salt and keep stirring until the eggs have lost their yellow color. Now crumble the marzipan mass, add to the foam mass together with the whiskey and stir in.
  2. Now preheat the oven to 180 ° (top / bottom heat). Then mix the flour and baking powder with a whisk and use it to fold them into the butter and egg mixture. Add the chopped fruits, raisins, currants and almonds and mix well.
  3. Finally, pour the dough into a greased loaf pan lined with parchment paper and bake on the middle shelf for about 60–70 minutes.
  4. For the glaze, mix the powdered sugar and whiskey and brush the cake with it while it is still warm.
