Jerk Chicken- Jamaican Recipe

Ingredients

For the marinade:

1 teaspoon thyme, dried
0.5 teaspoon ½ nutmeg, (powder)
1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
1 teaspoon allspice, ground
0.5 teaspoon ½ clove powder
2 teaspoons lime juice, freshly squeezed

Instructions

Peel and cut the onions. Peel and grate the ginger. Peel the garlic and cut into small pieces. Mix together the seasoning for the marinade and mix with the onions, garlic, ginger and lime juice. Cover the meat with the marinade and marinate in the refrigerator for two hours.
Now heat the oil in the pan and fry the marinated chicken pieces. Add the whole chilli peppers and the peppers cut into strips and bake in the oven at approx. 180 ° C for about 10-15 minutes. You can also make a sauce with the rest of the marinade and onions.
After serving, sprinkle some lime zest over the top.
This dish can also be cooked on the grill.
