  • 150 grams sugar
  • 100 ml oil
  • 250 g flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 150 ml buttermilk
  • 1 large apple
  • Fat, for the shape

Instructions

  1. Grease a loaf pan (25-30 cm). Preheat the oven to 200 ° C top / bottom heat.
  2. Beat the eggs until frothy, pour in the sugar, add the vanilla sugar and beat the mixture until creamy. Then stir in the oil and buttermilk. Mix and stir in the flour and baking powder.
  3. Pour about half of the dough into the pan.
  4. Cut the peeled apple into wedges and place on the dough. Pour the remaining dough over it and smooth it out.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 45-50 minutes.
  6. After 15 minutes of baking time, you can scratch the cake lengthways with a sharp knife. This way the cake rises evenly and has a nice straight break.
