Karthauser Dumplings in Cinnamon Sugar with Compote

Instructions

  1. Cut a thin slice off the top and bottom of the rolls, preferably with the bread machine.
  2. Mix the eggs and milk well in a shallow bowl, then soak the rolls in it until they are soaked in on both sides. Then in hot fat or lard
  3. Fry well on both sides over a low heat.
  4. Drain and serve with cinnamon sugar and e.g. applesauce or compote.
