Kebab from Catfish or Burbot

Of course, I would like to bake a kebab of catfish over hot coals in the fresh air by the river. Having trouble getting out for a picnic? It doesn’t matter, cook a kebab from catfish or burbot according to this recipe and you will delight and surprise your loved ones or guests.

Cook: 1 hour 30 minutes

Servings: 6

Ingredients

  • Catfish – 900 g
  • or catfish fillet – 600 g
  • Flour – 1-2 tbsp
  • Protein – 2 pcs.
  • Vegetable oil – 3-4 tbsp
  • White stale bread – 250 g
  • Salt – 0.5-0.75 teaspoon
  • Ground black pepper – 0.25 teaspoon

Directions

  1. Wash the fish, gut, separate the fillets.
  2. Cut the fish into small pieces.
  3. Season with salt and pepper.  
  4. Grate the stale crumb of white bread on a coarse grater.
  5. Whisk the whites with sunflower oil.
  6. Dip the fish in flour.
  7. Soak in whipped egg whites.
  8. Roll in crumbs.
  9. Turn on the oven. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and brush with oil. Put the pieces on a baking sheet greased with vegetable oil and bake in the oven (30 minutes at 180 degrees). Cool the fish slightly.
  10. Put the finished and slightly cooled fish on skewers and spread the catfish kebab on a flat dish.
    The catfish kebab is ready in the oven, you can serve it to the table!
