Ingredients
- 250 g flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking powder
- 50 g almond (s), round
- 150 g cane suar
- 1 orange (s), ground peel it
- 1 tablespoon lavender, dried
- 2 egg (s)
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 100 g almond (s), whole

- Put the flour, baking powder, ground almonds, cane sugar, the ground orange peel and the lavender in a bowl and stir.
- Beat eggs with honey and vanilla extract until frothy. Add to the flour mixture and knead into a homogeneous dough. Knead the whole almonds into the dough.
- Divide the dough into three equal pieces and shape into rolls approx. 3 cm in diameter. Place on a baking tray covered with baking paper. Leave enough space so that they don`t stick together.
- Bake in the preheated oven at 200 ° C for twenty minutes. Let cool and cut into pieces about two centimeters thick. The cooled rolls are firmer and a little harder to cut, but they don`t crumble as much.
- Spread the pieces upright (so that the cut surfaces are baked evenly) on the baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake in the preheated oven at 200 ° C for another fifteen minutes, until the cantuccini are dry and lightly browned on the sides. Remove from the baking sheet and let cool down.
- The recipe makes about 30 to 40 pieces.
