Ingredients

  • 80 g almond (s), whole
  • 100 g hazelnuts, whole
  • 30 g orane peel, chopped
  • 300 grams flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 200 g suar
  • 1 teaspoon cardamom, ground
  • 1 teaspoon orange (n) - peel, grated (untreated)
  • 1 vanilla pod, which the pulp
  • 25 g butter, soft

Instructions

  1. Spread the nuts and almonds on a baking sheet and roast them in the oven at 200 ° for 6-8 minutes. Then spread it on a cloth and rub the skin with this cloth.
  2. Mix the flour, baking powder, sugar, cardamom, vanilla pulp, orange peel and a pinch of salt. Add butter and eggs and work into a dough that is not too soft. Knead in the nuts and almonds quickly, shape the dough into a ball and wrap in foil and refrigerate for 45 minutes.
  3. Divide the dough into four parts. Shape each portion into a 25 cm long roll. Place the rolls of dough 5-6 cm apart on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 190 degrees for 1-20 minutes.
  4. Then let the pastry cool for 5 minutes. Cut off approx. 1.5 cm thick slices with a sharp knife. Put these back on a baking sheet and bake again at 180 degrees for 12-15 minutes until golden brown. Let the cantuccini cool down.
