Ingredients

  • 1 glass anchovy fillet (s)
  • 1 onion (s), red
  • 2 teaspoons capers
  • salt and pepper
  • sugar
  • olive oil
  • Red wine vinegar

Instructions

  1. Rinse the anchovies and pat dry. Cut the onion into very fine rings or, even better, slice it. Drain the capers.
  2. Sprinkle the onions with a pinch of salt and massage in with your fingers so that they become nice and soft and let them steep. Then they don`t taste so pungent like onions and become a little sweeter.
  3. Make a dressing from olive oil, red wine vinegar, salt, pepper and sugar. Be careful with the salt, as the anchovies still taste salty.
  4. Arrange the anchovy fillets on a plate. Spread the onions on top without the leaked juice. Sprinkle with the capers. Pour the dressing over it and let it steep for about 30 minutes. Depending on your taste, add a little fresh pepper. Serve with fresh baguette.
